Why are my body composition results different from another scale?
Different consumer scales use different BIA algorithms, reference models, and estimation methods, so results are not expected to be identical across brands. Etekcity’s body composition algorithm is developed and calibrated using real human data, then validated against DEXA reference measurements.

Why can body composition measurements vary between readings?
Body composition metrics can naturally fluctuate with hydration, meals, exercise, sleep, skin moisture, and measurement timing. For more consistent trend tracking, measure under similar conditions at the same time of day, such as in the morning after waking and before eating or drinking.
